The cutter head, with four high-speed steel knives, operates at 5,000 RPM, delivering 20,000 cuts per minute for a smooth finish. Anti-kickback fingers and a pressure bar enhance results.
Constructed for durability, it has a solid cast iron base, table, and head. A 2-speed oil bath gearbox allows speed changes between 24 and 31 FPM, with an option for 4-speed adjustments to 16 and 20 FPM. Corrugated infeed and fine groove outfeed rollers ensure smooth feeding.
The precision-ground, polished cast iron table is supported by four steel columns, providing stability for larger workpieces.
